Retraining the mind

It doesn’t matter how many quotes I read, I need to check in with them again and again. Some days I need to read them more than other days. Changing my thoughts or unfavorable habits isn’t an easy task. I have a long way to go.

I’ve been totally glued to Wayne Dyer lately as I mentioned in my last post Meet Wayne

I cant get enough of his work. Its a journey, its a process and as you head towards inner peace and enlightenment, there will be days that you stuff up and need to release guilt and start again.

Today had some challenges packed in it…. ohhh man, did it have challenges, lessons and tests of patience.

There are days like today that seem too hard, too far off where I want to be, too complicated. Its easier to throw my hands up and scream I GIVE UP”!

I love the quote I’ve attached below, “Peace is the result of retraining your mind to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be”

What a quote!

A day like today would normally have me at my wits end and feeling entitled to dive into a packet of potato chips or something that I know isn’t healthy or good for me,But i didn’t, Im retraining myself and Im getting stronger.

I need to appreciate the now, the life I have now and stop thinking of the place I think I should be. Living in the present is my mission and letting go of obsessing about the past and the future.

Until next time, Make it a great day xx

That’s one of my favourite quotes too! Some days you just have to ‘let it go’ (in the words of Elsa!) I too had one of those days and wrote about it if you’re interested in checking it out 😀
