Apart from all the late night dark chocolate I’m consuming with the lights off to trick my body in hope it won’t register the calories… I’ve been eating clean and really, really enjoying it.
When I first started this journey… I was thinking WTF?!! What does one eat when they give up gluten, dairy, coffee, fried foods, eggs, pork and so much more? Ice cubes?! I didn’t know where to start.
I often day dream of the day my stomach allows me to eat a custard tart without swelling up like a whale and giving me pain like I’m in labor.
For now, my body is getting a break while I embark on this elimination diet to rule out the offenders that are causing all the pain.
I think the biggest thing when you’re eating clean is to fill yourself up on fruit and vegetables and marry it up with a protein. Try and avoid cooking things fast and don’t pick convenience. Bad decisions are often made when we haven’t planned and we settle.
Fail to plan- plan to fail.
Another tip… Research.
Read everything you can and have meal sharing discussions with people on a similar journey. If you don’t know anyone, go hashtag crazy on Instagram or Pinterest to find the recipesand ideas you need to get you eating clean.
