Over Christmas I was experiencing some scary health reactions to foods I knew were not working for my body. My stomach still doesn’t feel right. The pain was to the point that I couldn’t ignore the reactions a minute longer.
I have reactions with nuts, acidic foods, fried foods, soy, eggs, dairy, spicy foods, coffee just to name a few.
When you love dessert as much as I do… This does feel like the end of the world.
It’s been interesting and I’m learning ALOT. Sipping herbal tea and indulging in Chia seeds.
I have my birthday in two days and I want to eat cake on my birthday. I’ve researched how to substitute eggs in a cake recipe and it appears that you can use 1/4 cup of apple sauce or 1/2 mashed banana.
The vegan diet seems to be the closest one regarding foods I need to avoid while waiting for some tests to come back.
The doctor has me on the elimination diet.. I need to eliminate all the foods that cause me pain and keep a food journal. Then slowly reintroduce the foods one at a time to see if they are still causing pain. It’s going to be a long process. I’ve never spent so much time thinking about my main meals!
