In January 2015 or December 2014, or even on the last hour before we entered 2015 most of us made a bunch of promises to ourselves. We drew up a list of ambitions on how we would use the new slate with the new date. 2015!
365 days was going to be used wisely and all the things we didn’t get done in the prior year or even years would all be rectified and we would be a new person because this year was going to be the year. Does this sound familiar to you?
Its June damn it, the realisation hit me like a cold hard slap in the face. Maybe because its winter here in Australia and the shitty weather has given me more time to reflect, but its JUNE!
I went looking madly for my bucket list, dream list, vision board, note book.. and believe it or not, I haven’t done all the wonderful things I wanted to do in 2015. I have used half the year and allowed the routine of work, home, sleep and repeat take over. I am so committed to my list, I couldn’t even freaking find it!
I found it finally, and there are so many things that meant so much to me as I wrote it and then I forgot all about it. **Pass the tissues**
If you’re still on track with your goals and you have achieved some, I would like to congratulate you. That is an achievement.
For those like myself that realised that sweet F all has been marked off their list…. you are not alone…..That’s ok, we still have another six months, who is joining me on not letting 2015 go to waste?
Step 1 – Take a clean sheet of paper or a notebook.
Step 2 – Write a list of things you wanted to achieve in 2015… its not too late… tell that voice in your head to shut up.
Step 3 – Pick your top 20 and start scheduling them into the remaining 28 weeks that we have left until the 31st of December.
Step 4 – Tell someone about your goals so they can keep you accountable and you can get some help ticking them off.
Step 5 – Attach a reward to the goals. Celebrate! You can email me as you achieve them… Id love to hear all about it!
We all know that famous saying “When you Fail to plan, you Plan to fail” Well it’s true.
I wish you all the best as we salvage what is left of 2015 and get some of the things we want to achieve off the list and room for new things for the year to come.
