A journal and a heap of books – hello there :)

It’s been a while since I’ve written, hope you’re all well.

I’ve been knocked out cold with bronchitis and chest pains….it’s sorta slowed me down between bed rest and watching too much TV…. I’ve been MIA.

Hope you’re all well and taking care of yourselves.

I’ve used some of the down time to reflect on gratitude, at a point when it’s hard to find gratitude (being run down triggers my fear voice and sometimes it’s hard to silence it) or the wonderful things in life… It is most important to reflect on the good things.

Some of the things I’ve been grateful for –

** Tomorrow my son is 6! I can’t believe my boy is 6 tomorrow! I’m so happy.

** Oxygen! I’ve been so grateful for my concentrator that has upped my oxygen levels while I’ve been so low.

** My bed and pillow – so grateful that I’m comfortable while recovering

** Assistance… I have been receiving a whole lot of love from family and friends.

** Laughing – watching comedy’s and having a good laugh.

** A nice warm cup of tea with a fruitless hot cross bun

** Oprah’s book “what I know for sure”

** Home

** Coming across an amazing new book to keep on the bookshelf forever!

The list goes on…. And on…. Once you make a decision to find the good- it starts popping out from everywhere.

During this time I have enjoyed reading, I’ve made it a goal for 2015 to really focus on growing myself mentally & spiritually. I’ve also began keeping a journal to document my ideas, my hurdles, my triumphs, my day to day happenings and anything else that makes the cut.

What changes have you entered 2015 with? Are you sticking to the goals you set for 2015?

Above all, look after yourself. Life is short and each day is precious.
